In the many years of adventuring and exploring across the great state of Alaska, Douglas Albrecht has come to appreciate and admire nature. Watching wildlife in their natural surroundings has inspired his ability to create from memory scenes that represent the wildlife & scenery in a wide array of nature carvings. Since 1987, Doug has carved moose, caribou, elk and deer antler; Musk ox and Dall sheep horn, and worked with whale bone. His creations include table top, wall and hanging art.

He lives in Wasilla Alaska, home of the Iditarod, with his children in the luscious Matanuska Susitina Valley. When not out fighting wildfires, Doug Albrecht forms exquisite pieces of art from moose antlers, caribou and deer antlers and Dall sheep horn. Each creation shows his dedication to portraying subjects and scenes true to perception and truly shaping an Alaskan impression for you. Doug's creations are becoming increasingly popular for their realism and expression which flows from each hand crafted piece.
